BREATHABLE COATING

A breathable coating means that the surface is coated with a paste or liquid. Once applied to a fabric, it creates a protective layer often used as a waterproof barrier that wicks away water vapour.

COMPONENT REPELLENCY

The water-repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents fabric from absorbing water, and keeps it lightweight and warm.A fabric is made water-repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment’s lifetime (every 2 or 3 washes). We sell products for this purpose in our stores. All Wed’ze waterproof jackets have received a water-repellent treatment.

WINDPROOF

Did you know that the wind makes you feel colder?Therefore, if the outdoor temperature is 0 with a wind-speed of 20 km, it will feel like -10. So-called “”windproof”” components help to reduce this windchill by blocking the air flow resulting from the true wind and the forward motion of your sporting activity.
